The unexpected level of success of the event last year, the plethora of young people who, in most cases, filled the conference rooms, the presence of major enterprises and the large participation of members of the business world who shared their wealth of knowledge with their young audiences, encourage us to work harder and be more imaginative and creative for the next Panorama.

Our ambition through this event is to continue the legacy of the Entrepreneurial events that for 33 years at the Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB) has won widespread recognition.

Those events became the focal point of networking, discussions and cooperation between the academic community and the business world.  This cooperation is critical to the improvement of education in Greece and certainly the Entrepreneurial Events - through which we developed substantial relevant know-how - played a very important role in enhancing this process. 

During my years as a professor in AUEB more than 20,000 students took part in the Entrepreneurial Events. These  included symposiums held in Delphi, Greece, conferences, visits to organizations’ production facilities, information days, seminars and lectures organized at historical sites.

The students were initiated into modern business and entrepreneurial thinking as well as the values of entrepreneurial ethics and social responsibility which permeated my philosophy and ambition regarding those educational initiatives.

So now, after my recent retirement from the University, it is deemed important to continue these activities, this time not only for the AUEB students but for all young people who aspire to become entrepreneurs or executives in a commercial organisation. To facilitate this I will use a different, more flexible organisational vehicle to overcome the numerous difficulties one encounters when bringing the business community and the University together.

Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career development is the natural continuation and expression of this wish.
