The unexpected level of success of the event in 2008, the plethora of young people who, in most cases, filled the conference rooms, the presence of major enterprises and the large participation of members of the business world who shared their wealth of knowledge with their young audiences, encourage us to work harder and be more imaginative and creative for the next Panorama.

Circumstances have, of course, changed a lot this year so the event ought to be adjusted to the new reality. Our goal this year is to highlight, through around 30 conferences, the opportunities and prospects that 20 sectors offer, as well as to show ‘the other Greece’ -the Greece that dares, innovates and exports- with the ambition to offer a note of optimism to our young people.

So this year our objective is to promote anything that is contemporary, innovative and successful in our country per sector and to highlight new, promising sectors for entrepreneurship and career development that are not particularly well-known like microelectronics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, agriculture of new cultivations, smartphone applications, informatics and its new trends, animation design, mobile marketing etc.

Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development is exactly what the name says: a panorama of the market, a panorama of the opportunities that exist despite the crisis (and quite often because of it), a panorama of successful entrepreneurs and enterprises that fight and create wealth for Greece. These opportunities and success stories are not well known to our young people, who, now more than ever, are in need of inspiration and guidance.

I truly believe in the quality of our young people and it is the duty of all of us to support and inspire them.
